Armenian Council has initiated a project entitled “Promoting Democratic Institutionalization”, which brings together a series of complementary initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia and expanding informed discussion on the country’s policy choices. The project seeks to enhance democratic resilience by linking expert analysis, public engagement, and dialogue with decision-makers.
The project’s primary goals are to support the development of democratic institutions in Armenia and to promote open, pluralistic discussion of Armenian domestic and foreign policy options.
Through accessible formats and targeted outreach, the project will raise public awareness, encourage citizen participation, and contribute to evidence-based policymaking.
The project consists of several key components:
- The first component is the production of short, one-minute video segments that explain complex policy and geopolitical issues through a democratic lens.
- The second component is the online journal “Democratic Security,” which will publish expert analytical articles on democratic security, reforms, and policy options relevant to Armenia.
- Another core component is the development of policy papers focused on border security and comprehensive security as foundations of democratic development.
- The project further includes stakeholder discussions, conferences, monthly analytical memos, press conferences, and “Tea with Citizens” meetings, creating structured spaces for dialogue among policymakers, diplomats, civil society, media, experts, and citizens.
