Through this statement, we wish to respond to the disinformation being circulated and to clarify that the regional visits and public engagement activities of the Armenian Council are carried out with the support of the Democracy Development Foundation, within the framework of the “Partnership for Democracy” initiative.
The organization’s other programs are likewise funded exclusively by partner organizations and foundations.
No program of the organization has ever been financed from the state budget of the Republic of Armenia or through taxpayers’ contributions, nor does the organization currently receive any state funding.
The only exception concerns the international (Armenian–Azerbaijani) meetings held within the framework of the Peace Bridge initiative, which are organized and funded with direct support from the respective states (without any transfers made to the organization): on the territory of Armenia—by Armenia, and on the territory of Azerbaijan—by Azerbaijan.
