With the support of the Yerevan Office of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, a study by Samvel Meliksetyan, expert at the Armenian Council research center, has been published.
The study focuses on two “checkpoint” villages along the Armenian–Turkish border — Akhurik and Margara.
It examines how the modern Armenian–Turkish border was formed and analyzes the impact it has had on these two key border settlements.
